A Supreme Moment in Our Humanity – Now is the Time! | The Nature of Business

Finally, an explanation of the “Mysterious” thinking that has gone into the “Altresco” business models that have stayed intact for decades. This thinking has been considered unfathomable over the decades, and not compatible with “modern “stockholder” capitalism for a simple reason.

Modern capitalism is based on marketing, sales of “merchandise”, and this quarter’s results. Both Altresco, and “Regenerative” capitalism is based on creating “Net Present Value.”

Revenues and profitability generated by stable and continuing sales of beneficial continuing consumption of essential goods, and services, that are foundations of community, and macro economies.

We are in the midst of a metamorphosis, profound shifts are affecting the way we work, how and why we do things, and the purpose and meaning we bring to our organisations, social systems and wider …

A Supreme Moment in Our Humanity – Now is the Time! | The Nature of Business

IMHO this indicates that my perception of how business enterprises should be designed is not insane. It’s just unimaginable to a business world focused on Quarter to Quarter results.
There are many capitalist companies in America that have been demonstrating this “attitude” and “culture” for many decades.

They appear in books like “Good to Great”, and “Built to Last” and are really “boring” investments that people like Warren Buffet buy.

It’s almost impossible to replicate in the United States today, but as our Altresco has been doing since inception, and is laying out in Isiolo Kenya, it’s still possible.

I’ve just been calling it the “New model” in the context of B. Fuller” quote. “You won’t change this by fighting against the existing establishment. to change things, create a new model that will make the existing model obsolete.”

This is what the Isiolo model will unfold like in Kenya.

Vision 2050, Isiolo County

I was asked to write a story about what the results of our 2020 integrated Energy, Water, Food, and Communication plan might look like in 2050.

This inspired me to imagine beyond our current perspectives that 5 years is nearly over the horizon, and think about what the results of our efforts today might look like in 30 years. In the “framing” webinar put together by

Mozambique signs gas importation agreement for Beluluane power plant

More good news. Although the details of the “transaction” are a bit erroneous, it’s still more, Gas to electricity, which is the most environmentally beneficial move we can be making.

Mozambique has signed an agreement deal with France to import liquefied natural gas that will be needed for a gas-fired power station planned for Beluluane

China Soaring Past Japan In Liquefied Natural Gas Imports

This falls in the “best news” ever category. When China uses Natural Gas to replace coal for reliability, the whole planet wins. IN FACT IT’S A TRIPLE WIN FOR PLANET EARTH.

What we don’t hear about is that the natural gas that is a byproduct of oil production, is being burned or vented all over the world and the CO2 impact makes animal flatulence, and forest fire impact look trivial if it were compared.
But, our two trillion/year media masters don’t want to bring up this fact to the people they’ve spent decades convincing the public, that “renewable energy” is the only way to go.

However, if there are the pipeline capacity and a big enough market, the gas that’s being wastefully burned and vented would be processed and shipped.

Making electricity from this natural gas is a triple win for the planet because it not only removes the”worse than CO2″ pollution, it also replaces the need to burn diesel fuel, by replacing those expensive to run polluting generators with zero-pollution electric motors.

Converting the gas to LNG is having a very positive impact, but as America’s export capacity has grown, the existing markets have reached the saturation point and finding new markets for all of this LNG is the most important climate mitigation approach we must focus on.

Yes, LNG is lumped into the nasty “Fossil fuel” category by the 100% renewable advocates, but the real impact is that it effectively removes planetary polution from the status quo whole picture reality.

But thank God for China, and India where gas can replace coal at sufficient volumes to eliminate “flaring.”and replace coal in the process.

China will soon surpass Japan as the world’s largest importer of liquefied natural gas (LNG), quickly becoming the most vital way of trading the world’s go-to fuel.

John Lennon’s “Imagine” Was Turned Into a Comic Strip, and the Result is Incredibly Beautiful. | The Unbounded Spirit

My long-time friends of every culture, continent, and religious sect on 5 continents, where very few of the international people are American, and the demographics are tp t bottom, economically can understand how this powerful illustration brought tears to my eyes.
Yes, I am one of the “dreamers”  who has met and knows loveworthy beings across the spectrum and can “Imagine” why it should be.

And, I post this with a personal love for each and every member of our “community.

This is easily the best comic strip ever made.

Our status in the Universe.

I love these pictures of “scale, “and how microscopic Earth is relative to the Cosmos.

One of my most profound moments of humility was when I was up below Manaslu Peak in the Himalayas, where the night skies were unimaginable.

And a day was trekking up a very steep path, cut into high canyon walls with a sheer drop of about 1000 feet, to a raging glacier-fed river. A momentary loss of balance would be the end of me.

(At that time, I was the CEO of an eighty million per year company, with complex revenue relationships which felt like a lot of responsibility.)

The “moment” was when I paused, glanced down at the river, and, with absolute clarity, realized that were I to slip and fall to my death, the world, as I knew it, would take about three to five days to resume, as though I’d never existed.

Today, I know that I still have lots of reasons to be alive and have impacts, but relative to the universe, even that is negligible.

And, I know that our planet is all we have, or ever will have.

We are evolved from the bacteria in the Earth’s seas, and truly are “earthlings.” Moving to Mars,or elsewhere definitely a delusion.

We need to get over our “Constellation” size egos and start taking care of our microscopic size piece of the universe.

We’re the only ones that can, and failing that, the total annihilation of humanity would not even be noteworthy to the balance of the universe.

When Individuals Are More Innovative Than Teams

This has been a blessing and a curse for the duration of my business careers in both Real Estate investment and Energy Sector business model creation.
The problem is not the innovation part. The problem is figuring out how to explain it to the “teams” that are critical to the implementation.

I’ll be working on that for the rest of my life. Until then I’m just grateful that the ones I’ve done are still working, and providing the intended benefits.

It depends on what the goal is.

A Brave and Startling Truth: Astrophysicist Janna Levin Reads Maya Angelou’s Stunning Humanist Poem That Flew to Space, Inspired by Carl Sagan – Brain Pickings

Some days, as I contemplate the machinations of the human species, with the core Amorality of human nature, commerce, and the capitalistic style rationalization of the continuing destruction of our planet, I wonder if we’ve even evolved enough to deserve to survive.

Then I’m led to work like this poem, and the overall efforts of the “Brain Pickings” writer and my spirits are lifted.

“Out of such chaos, of such contradiction / We learn that we are neither devils nor divines…”
